CamphillGhentDec7.140738Celebrating Peace in the Season of Light

Rebecca Harkca, Cello, Gili Melame-Lev, Piano
The program features two major works by composers in their mature style. Beethoven’s fourth cello sonata is boisterous and at the same time profound and transcendent. The work shows brilliance, precision, brevity and directness.
The cello sonata by Frank Bridge, an Englishman and pacifist, is powerful and full of faith and hope. Also on the program are two colorful and playful works by French composers Nadia Boulanger and Maurice Ravel, the soulful Prayer by Bloch and concert favorite Vocalise by Rachmaninoff.

At the Culture Hall at Camphill Ghent, 2542 Rt. 66, Chatham. Call 518.392.2760 for reservations.
